Lors du dernier mercato estival, Lucas Cañizares, gardien de 22 ans, a quitté le Real Madrid pour rejoindre Farense avec la garantie d’un temps de jeu que lui promettait le club portugais. Seulement voilà, les aléas du mercato ont quelque peu compliqué les choses.
Le temps de jeu de Cañizares était conditionné au départ du gardien titulaire Ricardo Velho. Cependant, le club portugais n’est pas parvenu à vendre son joueur comme il l’espérait et ce dernier est finalement resté. Fort d’un statut d’international portugais, il a tout naturellement repris sa place dans les buts.
Mercato : Cañizares à la recherche d’un nouveau départ
Pour Lucas Cañizares, cette situation rebat complètement les cartes. Le joueur espagnol ne se satisfait pas de ce rôle de doublure qui ne correspond pas aux promesses faites par les dirigeants de Farense. Le directeur sportif qui l’avait recruté a quitté le club pour rejoindre Benfica.
En conséquence, le quotidien espagnol Relevo explique que le joueur souhaite partir dès cet hiver si possible. Problème, Farense continue de compter sur lui, même si l’entraîneur ne lui accorde pour le moment aucun temps de jeu.
Le club portugais envisage toujours de vendre son gardien numéro un et souhaite donc conserver Cañizares.
